Laura Pawel and Kelsey McCormack, two Cherry Hill teens, and members of The Koresh Youth Ensemble, will perform with Koresh Dance Company April 29 to May 2.
The Koresh Youth Ensemble was formed to give gifted, young dancers more intensive dance training and greater performance opportunities. Young dancers have the chance to show their commitment to dance and strive for excellence under the direction of Roni Koresh, artistic director of Koresh Dance Company and Melissa Rector, assistant artistic director of Koresh Dance Company.
The Koresh Youth Ensemble is made up of 12 students ages 13 to 18. Ensemble members are chosen through an open audition and are selected based on their overall ability, commitment, and versatility as a dancer. If a student is accepted into the ensemble, he or she will be given the financial assistance needed so that he or she can participate.
