Scleroderma support group meeting March 11
Scleroderma Foundation Burlington/Camden County Support Group will meet March 11, at 1:30 p.m., at the Cherry Professional Building, first floor conference room, 385 Kings Highway North.
The meeting is free.
Patients, family members, friends and caregivers are invited to attend.
Scleroderma, also known as systemic sclerosis, is a chronic, often progressive autoimmune disease in which the body’s autoimmune system attacks its own tissues. There are 300,000 Americans with Scleroderma, and four out of five are women – usually stricken in the prime of life.  Although medicines can sometimes help treat symptoms, there is no cure yet for Scleroderma.
For additional information, please contact: Cynthia Cornelssen, 267-5119, cacpurse@comcast.net.

About 10 percent of Americans over 40 and about 50 percent of Americans over 60 suffer from diverticular disease, changes in the colon related to the presence of sacs or pouches in the wall of the colon.  Come to a free seminar, sponsored by the Kennedy Health System, on Tuesday, March 9, to learn the range of symptoms and complications of the disease and how it can be treated.
The seminar will be presented by Dr. David A. Berg, colon-rectal surgeon, at 7 p.m., at Kennedy University Hospital-Cherry Hill (fifth floor boardroom), 2201 Chapel Avenue West.
Registration is necessary. Call Kennedy at 1-800-KHS-9007 and select option number three to register or for more information.
